A hydraulic team with hands-on experience

Woolacotts Hydraulic Engineering team is led by Principal Engineer, Ian Stalker, who has been working with Woolacotts for 8 years, and has decades of hydraulic engineering experience with other consulting firms Prior to joining the Woolacotts team, Ian gained expert design knowledge through working as a plumber and gas fitter across three continents, From this hands-on experience, Ian delivers solutions for our clients that are practical and cost effective.

As our Principal Hydraulic Engineer, Ian plays an important role in overseeing all Hydraulic projects delivered by the Woolacotts team. Ian has knowledgeable insights into the building and construction phases of projects, allowing him to work particularly well with builders and architects, overseeing projects from initial design stages, to the final stages of construction.

Ian leads a tight-knit team of Hydraulic and Wet Fire System engineers, including Darren Neal – Senior Hydraulic Engineer, Edward Jones – Hydraulic Engineer and Cameron Lucas – Hydraulic Engineer. This team represents a combined 50 years of experience within Hydraulic Engineering, which is reflected through the unique and intelligent solutions they provide to our clients.

School and University infrastructure plus Correctional Centres is a speciality within our Hydraulic engineering team, who are currently delivering a range of projects to the education and justice sectors. Woolacotts team works with Government Departments, Private operators, Project Managers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Contractors and Sub-Contractors to deliver new and re-developed schools, education and correctional centres.

We have integrated our Hydraulic, Civil and Structural documentation with specialised Building Information Model (BIM) design, allowing us to provide thorough plans to architects and consultants. Our BIM team work closely with our Hydraulic team, delivering Revit reference models to LOD300, which can easily be integrated into architectural documentation for coordination.
