Our role

Woolacotts was engaged by the NSW Government to provide performance specifications and partial documentation for the structural, civil and hydraulic engineering elements of this project.

Outputs of our consultancy were used for a design and construct tender and we were retained by the government as its engineering advisor during construction.

The performance based specifications were based on the lessons learnt from the Mid North Coast Correctional Centre, a project $90 million project also completed by Woolacotts.

Official opening

The prison was officially opened by the Minister for Justice, John Hatzistergos in September 2007.
