Structural, civil and hydraulic engineering services
Woolacotts was engaged by Delaney Civil to provide multidisciplinary engineering services for the Harden Sewage Treatment Plant Ponds Remediation Project. Our team delivered expertise across Civil, Structural, and Hydraulic supporting both the design and construction phases of this important regional infrastructure upgrade.
The scope of our work included the detailed engineering design and documentation of the remediation works, based on the preliminary report prepared by Australian Wetlands Consulting. Key design components included rectification of the eroded Currawong Creek banks, formalization of spillways between Ponds 2 and 3 and between Ponds 3 and 4, and the construction of bunds and armouring to protect against scour during high-flow events originating from Currawong Creek.

Additional design components included the installation of approximately 50 metres of recycled water rising main beneath the creek bed. These upgrades were carefully engineered to improve operational efficiency and environmental protection.
During construction, Woolacotts provided ongoing support through timely responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), review of contractor submissions, and virtual inspections to ensure alignment with the design intent. Our involvement reflects our commitment to delivering robust, sustainable engineering solutions that support regional communities and safeguard natural waterways.
