As part of the delivery of the $61M Mardi Dam to Warnervale Trunk Pipeline project by Central Coast Council, a new valve house building is required to house the pipeline valves and controls within an architectural designed building.
The Mardi to Warnervale Pipeline is a drinking water pipeline that runs from the existing Mardi Water Treatment Plant through to Sparks Road at Warnervale. The pipeline is nine kilometres long and 750 millimetres in diameter. The objective of the superstructure valve house is to provide quality architectural designed building envelop in keeping with the adjacent school. This project boost water supply to the rapidly growing Warnervale Town Centre and surrounding areas. The pipeline will also enhance existing inter region transfer capacity, increasing water security for the Hunter and Central Coast Regions.
The design phase of this project has been completed, and Central Coast Council is moving towards the construction stage that is expected to commence in 2020 and to have the pipeline operational in early 2022. Woolacotts was engaged by Design Inc Sydney on behalf of the Central Coast Council. We provided structural, civil and in-ground stormwater engineering services.
