Edwards took out the Health Project of the Year Award for this project at the Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue’s Boomtown Property and Infrastructure Awards.

About the Project

Blacktown Hospital’s acute services building is the centrepiece of a $700 million NSW Health Infrastructure project with Blacktown and Mount Druit Hospitals. The 9-story building was designed by Jacobs Architecture and built by A.W. Edwards. The world class building houses a new emergency department, a psychiatric emergency care service, intensive care unit, new birthing wards and paediatric services with dedicated emergency department facilities, expansion of medical imaging and non-clinical support services, wew entry atrium and tunnel connections to the existing hospital buildings and link bridges to the carpark.
